Artist Bio
Kristina Muñoz is a traditional watercolour artist based in Teddington, United Kingdom.
Drawing from folklore, nature, and the rich tradition of British illustration, her illustration practice centres on character-led narratives filled with warmth, curiosity, and carefully crafted worlds. In 2019, she published her own illustrated chapter book, The Teddington Teashop, a timeless tale of courage, friendship, and discovery.
A selection of published works and collaborative projects can be found in the Publications section.
In 2025, Kristina was honoured with the Coup de Cœur distinction, selected by juror John Howe, for her painting The Nymph of the Nideck Waterfall, created for the Châteaux Rhénans project competition.
Alongside her illustration work, Kristina’s studio practice explores watercolour as a medium for atmosphere, memory, and reverie. Through subtle colour relationships and expressive brushwork, her paintings evoke places suspended between the real and the imagined, where remembered landscapes, fleeting impressions, and symbolic imagery gently converge.
Kristina welcomes opportunities for exhibitions and collaborations.
